Everything from an existing character can be transferred to another character via account-based storage. This includes crafting items, weapons, off-hand items, runes, accesory bags, belt pouches, and gold. The only things the other character cannot use is the primary bag (all characters come with one anyway), and any customized weapons, and armor (which is always customized).

The only other things you can really "lose" is the time spent leveling and gaining titles, and other "character-building" aspects such as the money spent purchasing skills, etc.
